Chico Moreno initiated his artistical career in Brazil, when he was 16 years old, participating in great events, side by side with great artists, including Bahia Carnival in 1997.
Then he headed to São Paulo in order to expand his work in the largest city of Brazil.
On his way back to Bahia he was invited by a Portuguese to come to Portugal in 1999, where he met with an entire success.
In the course of one of his shows, before an audience of sixty thousand people, he met with several working proposals, including the recording of an album – Agita a Galera ( Agitate the Guys) -, and another one – Grito de Emoção (Emotion Cry). With Grito de Emoção, Chico Moreno managed to attain golden disk and also succeeded in recording two more albums in the succeeding years.
In January 2005, Chico decided to devote his attention to a solo career, recording his first live album in Salvador, Bahia, whose principal guests were Tonho Matéria and Olodum Band (the most reputed percussion band in the world), as well as Flaviana, ex-singer of As Meninas band. This work was edited by Espacial – Som e Imagem, Lda.
After recording this first live album, in 2008 another album was edited, under the name of K-BRASIL, with a large prominence as far as Piritim Pom Pom theme is concerned.
For a period of time, he divulged his work in several European countries.
In 2010 he embraced a different project, mixing his own style with the musical influences he gathered from the countries where he performed his shows, thus preparing his new album recorded in Bahia in 2011, with a Spanish theme (Oportunidad), in the rhythm Bachata, tipically derived from República Dominicana, intensively divulged in Spain. This album won the special participation of Margareth Menezes, Ricardo Chaves, Guig Ghetto, among others.
Chico Moreno has also shared the same stage with great names of Portuguese and Brazilian musicians, such as the singer Leonardo from the duet Leandro and Leonardo, Netinho, As Meninas, Toy, Ágata, among others.
His sympathy, along with the contagious rhythms of his music, have granted him the participation in several events, as well as festivals, both in Portugal and in other countries, and even in his own country – Brazil.
The new project for the recording of his first DVD.
Chico Moreno, as well as K-Brasil, wish to expand more and more my work, carrying along with me the dance, the music and the joy all over the world.
